NYB Lavender Essential Oil for a Great Price

I just received a large bottle of lavender oil from New York Biology. I love this stuff! Lavender is probably my favorite essential oil. It is known for it's calming effects. I often wear it as a perfume, I like it so much. This particular bottle of oil by #NewYorkBiology Is a fantastic deal! Right now you can grab this for only $10.50 and free shipping if you have prime.

Lavender has long been used in soaps, perfumes, air fresheners, and even dryer sheets! It has a rich floral scent that can be added to many everyday products. Because New York Biology provides a convenient dropper, it's easier than ever to measure how many drops are being added. Try adding 2 or 3 drops to shampoo, conditioner, or body lotion. Consider adding 10 drops to a warm neck pillow to relax at the end of a long day. The possibilities are endless.
I am very happy with the product for the price.
I would not recommend ingesting this or using on open wounds.

Tea Tree and Peppermint Essential Oils

I just received two, full one ounce bottles of Essential Oils. I love, love, love all things "EO"
The company is called New York Biology. They have an extensive list of Essential Oils.
The two scented oils that I received are Peppermint Oil and Tea Tree Oil.
Tea tree oil is a fantastic cleaner and disinfectant.
Use Tea Tree Oil for:
Mildew: Combine 1 cup white vinegar and 60 drops NYB tea tree oil in a reusable spray bottle. Spritz on mold or mildew and let sit for 10 minutes. Scrub with stiff-bristled brush.
DIY soap: If you have time to burn and have this NYB oil, here is a great idea! Just  mix 2 cups melted glycerin soap base and 3 tablespoons tea tree oil. Stir until blended, pour into soap molds and cool.
Laundry: Do you have cloth diapers or teenagers? Make sure to add 1 tablespoon of NYB tea tree oil to the wash. The powerful antifungal properties of tea tree oil will help prevent bacterial and fungal infections.
Smelly Shoes? Make those feet smell better using Tea Tree oil to create this shoe powder. Mix 1⁄4 cup cornstarch, 1⁄4 cup baking soda, and 20 drops each lavender and tea tree oil for an effective homemade shoe deodorant.
General Cleaner: Any spray bottle you have laying around,  mix 15+ drops tea tree oil with 1 quart warm water for a multipurpose cleaner.
ALSO -  For a gentle and effective all-purpose cleaner, mix 20-25 drops of tea tree oil with ¼ cup of water and a ½ cup of distilled white vinegar in a spray bottle. Shake well, spray directly onto surfaces, and wipe down with a clean cloth. Remember the oil won't mix with the water or vinegar, hence the shaking.

This New York Biology Peppermint Oil has some great uses!

Aching Feet:  If your feet are sore at the end of a long day, mix up some Epson salt and peppermint oil with warm water. Soak your feet for at least 15 minutes. Not only will this relax your aching feet, but peppermint essential oil also has pain relieving properties.
Bathroom Woes:   If you’re having trouble with constipation or trouble urinating (especially directly after childbirth), put a few drops of peppermint oil in the toilet bowl. Peppermint oil helps to open mucus membrane and a few drops in the toilet will open everything up. Bonus: fresh smelling bathroom.
Odor Eliminator:  Try diffusing or spraying peppermint around your home to help clean the air and get rid of any odors.  If the smell of paint fumes bothers you, try adding a 15ml bottle of peppermint oil to a 5 gallon bucket of paint and mixing it in to dispel the fumes.
Strong, Natural Cleaner:  I make my own peppermint oil cleaner.  It is anti-septic and anti-bacterial. Just put 15 drops of peppermint oil into a cleaner bottle with one cup of vinegar and then add water.

New York Biology Tea Tree Oil and Peppermint Oil are not safe for ingestion or use on skin.

Best School Supply Deals this week 10¢ glue, 17¢ spiral notebooks, so much more

I absolutely love back to school sales. Most kids cringe at the "Back To School" signs that creep into stores in the middle of July, invading their Summer Break. My kids are homeschooled, so this is just another day to them. It's the couple of weeks before school starts that the sales get really exciting! Even my children flip through the circulars excitedly pointing out the  1¢, 10¢, 17¢, and 50¢ school supply sales. Yes, you read that right! You can buy school supplies for a penny! If you are diligent in checking the ads, and don't mind multiple trips to multiple stores, you can stock up on everything you'll need for the whole year for less than $20!
I will totally have to post some pictures of my haul this year. Thus far, I've spent about $10.
